After restarting X, the included /usr/share/X11//nf configuration file will automatically load the wacom(4) driver when plugging Wacom devices. If your tablet does not show up, or if certain features do not work, see #Device not recognized by the kernel. After connecting your tablet via USB or Bluetooth, it should show up when running dmesg as root and be listed in /proc/bus/input/devices (and also on lsusb output for USB tablets). Both projects publish a list of supported devices: linux-wacom, DIGImend. linux-wacom supports Wacom devices, while DIGImend supports devices from other manufacturers.
